Nowadays, with the large number of synthetic products manufactured in China, the use of camel wool as a fabric (Tent, rope, Bisht, etc.) is very low. In early summer, a large quantity of camel wool is found scattered near the camel farms in the desert. The organically knit woolen coat is found tangled in various bushes. As we see in UAE, a growth in tunnel farming, and the necessary organic material, peat, is being imported from other countries. This has also led to another good development known as the Modern Food Production Revolution.
Mulching is one of the most important steps to reduce water loss and protect germinated plants against pests and harsh weather. The best mulching material is camel wool as it reduces evaporation, saves water for the plants, and breaks down naturally over time to provide nutrients to the plants because of its organic nature. NPK and other essential nutrients for plants are plentiful in camel wool. The wool protects plants from pests and acts as a substitute for synthetic fertilizer.
