We have promising results with the camel manure compost. We need to go into further investigations and details. We really need institutional, technical, and other types of collaboration to proceed with this precious work.
Camel manure is a worthwhile farm agent but considered as low grade farmyard manure. Here, in our camel farm with collaboration of Horticulturis friend Shah Hussain, we have conducted trials to decompose camel manure balls (CMB) and produce a good quality compost. Here we have very good, promising and appealing results as we have harvested a good quality rotten manure.
The advocacy group does not waste an opportunity and uses each forum for advocating camel at all levels as an animal of food security under climate change context. The concept of world camel day was the brainchild of Dr. Abdul Raziq Kakar, the head of the thinktank Camel4Life international. The world celebrates world camel day on 22nd June each year. With the efforts of Camel4Life International, we have attracted the attention of doners for camel research, especially camel milk.
