HAPPY NAUROZ AND THE CONCEPT OF MAKING THE EARTH GREEN AGAIN

Nauroz is not only a start to the new year but has a great start to the plantation of flora. It is a very ancient tradition of the plantation when the snow melts and the plant awoke from the winter’s sleep. This is not a Persian year only but the year of the whole people of Central Asia including Afghanistan and Balochistan. This tradition might have roots in the domestication of wild flora and plantation in human captivity, probably 12,000 years before or maybe even more. Nauroz reminds us of our connection with agriculture and plantation.

Happy New year, 2021

We have initiated a community effort (Ashar) to plant native flora in our region which we call Janobi Pashtunkhwa (northeastern Balochistan) and we have almost planted 35,000 plants in 2021. We broke the world record of plantation in 1 second, with a record of 900 trees. We love our land and we love the green concept.

Finance for Climate and Botanical Garden

It is the concept of COP26 to fund the projects with the objectives of making the earth green and trapping more CO2 from the atmosphere. So, our project really needs support especially, technical support to train our team for making nurseries of native flora and establish local herbariums/botanical gardens.
